OAKLAND, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
California Bank & Trust (CB&T) announced that it has expanded its
personal and business online banking to include mobile check deposit.
The free service, CBT
Mobile Deposit, is an easy-to-use feature that allows small business
and personal banking customers to deposit checks from their iPhone®,
Android™ smartphone or iPad®. The function is integrated into CB&T’s
existing mobile banking applications, CBT Mobile Banking App and CBT
Business Mobile Banking App.

While mobile check deposit is widely used among individuals, the service
is not generally available to small businesses. CB&T has designed CBT
Mobile Deposit to meet the needs of small business customers who
typically benefit from processing payments quickly.
A majority of small businesses use electronic transaction processing.
According to CB&T’s third annual small business survey, conducted in the
spring of 2014, 68 percent of small businesses in California perform
payment and deposit transactions via online and mobile banking services.
The CBT Business Mobile Banking App allows customers to view account
balances, deposit checks and review recent transactions in one
convenient place.
"At CB&T we're dedicated to expanding convenience banking by enhancing
our mobile options for our customers throughout California, particularly
for small businesses,” said Steven Borg, senior vice president,
corporate marketing director, CB&T. “We are investing in making banking
easier for both our business and personal banking customers by providing
the most up-to-date technology available."
The introduction of CBT Mobile Deposit is the latest technology
enhancement offered by CB&T to deliver time-saving, 24-7 access to
banking options and information. Earlier this year, CB&T introduced a
new website for greater ease of customer interaction and fraud text
alerts for real-time transaction verification.
“Small business owners have told us that managing their business and
finances can be a challenge, especially given their busy schedules,”
added Borg. “They like the convenience of the online and mobile banking
options provided by CB&T. The addition of CBT Mobile Deposit has made
running their businesses easier by allowing them to quickly process
receivables.”
