HOUSTON, Sept. 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Amegy Bank of Texas announced
today that it is operational following Hurricane Ike. Amegy Bank currently
has more than 20 Houston-area banking centers open and 50-plus ATMs that are
operational with cash available to withdraw. Amegy's treasury management,
lending, investments, and foreign exchange divisions are fully functioning.
As power is restored, additional branches will reopen.
"We recognize that there is a significant need for cash right now, as many
businesses in the greater-Houston area are operating in a cash only mode,"
